3DR Firecrackle?

So how rare are these guitars? And how do they compare to a standard Model 3 (other than the obvious reverse headstock)?

Dinky body rather than full size, probably kinda rare because they only made them in '88. The Predator is basically the same guitar with the toothpaste logo & better trem/locknut system.

I hit the BIN on one 10 mins after it was listed on Ebay for $199 about 2 months ago.

Everyone said THAT was a good deal......so go from there.


Nice guitar, VERY light, but couldnt tell you much more about it as i am a total noob and dont know any better....

When he posted the Predator first, it was gone when I got to it, but I saw the 3DR as also listed.
I PM'd Mike and asked about IT.
He replied and said: "it's great but you better hurry, cause I just posted it too!"

There's actually one listed on ebay at the moment (item 7376695513). Am I allowed to put that info in this forum? Or does it need to go in the E-fraid forum?

Anyway, this is a relist. Not sure why the 1st sale did not go through. I will keep my eye on it. Unfortunately it's not a $199 BIN! [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

The Predator I have is a school bus yellow crackle. The neck on it is semi-thin but wide.I also have 2 fire crackle like the one in your picture.Both have necks are identical and I would say compatible to the Model 4................

your model 4 and a 3DR will be close..I think the 3DR has a little slimmer neck.

FYI, I like my Ibanez RG-570 neck a lot, and you can't get much slimmer than that. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
