I know the feeling! I miss to death my eerie dess swirl soloist that I sold to Twisteramps.

I was going through an area in time, when cars we're taking over and I used the $ from the guitars for the car(STUPID!!). There was something about that one I loved! Just like my red san dimas. If anything ever happened to that, I'd freak out!

I did that back in '03 I think. Trust me, if I saved all the money I dumped in to that thing, EVERYONE on this board could have had a San Dimas (or two or three) and a full marshall stack!

It's tricky and I know I am not alone. There are times when I love the car more...then there are times when Guitar is king. Seems to be the cure for winter blues...guitar stuff. Summertime, car takes over.

Ain't that the truth. My C4 is turning into a money pit at the moment (110k+ miles), and my folks are keen to palm off their C3 onto me so I think it's probably time to get rid of the C4. It's summer time here so it should sell pretty quick. One is enough [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Just picked up a chrome floyd for the firecrackle. It's definitely a mid 80's piece as the studs(like my red one) have the screwdriver adjustments(instead of allen heads). The plating surprisingly is in decent shape...but like some I've seen, someone drilled screwdriver slots in the saddle area(where you tighten the strings to the blocks). They're not stripped...not sure why people do this. BUT, it'll look pretty cool once it's on there.

for now....going to pop the floyd on w/o the studs(use jt6s) and see how it is. If it's lousy(tune, etc) we'll put the proper studs in down the road. I need to slow down on $pending! I still owe on the blue charvel and it isn't here yet [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
