  • can you tell me about the pickups in my Predator?

It's got the bladed single coil sized dual coil pup at the neck, and the Jackson logo'd hum at the bridge (5way superswitch and volume knob only). It appears that someone rewired the neck pup, it still sounds good so no matter. The bridge pickup is pretty big sounding, I imagine that's a popular pickup to keep stock. Ser. # is 322xxx.

It has a blade type humbucker in the neck and a Jackson J-90C in the bridge, which is a pretty well regarded high outout ceramic humbucker.

However, I put a SD Blues Saraceno trembucker in the bridge of mine, as well as a ToneZone. Both we really great, although the Blues is still in there.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Is it easy to swap out the pup in the bridge? I am thinking on yanking the one that is in there and replace it with a JB or something similar.

      Thanks!

If you can use a soldering iron and a screwdriver, yes.
