    Latter 1988 models were using a Kahler nut that was closer to the floyd than the JT-6 version was. I've got a Model 3DR that has it on there.

    I'm not sure what AlexL was talking about regarding an "old logo" model 4. The model 4 had only one type of logo, which is the guitar logo. It's possible he may be speaking of the contemporary series (1989-1991) logo which was a script logo similar to Jackson's. However, with this series, what was known as the Model 4 changed a few elements and became the 475DLX and 475DLX-Exotic.

      I have two Model 4 Necks on some frankenstein guitars. when the Model 4 necks didn't have sharkfins, they had pearloid dots. They are the only model neck you'll find with the pearloid dots, all the others have the basic solid color creme dots.
