I bought an Orange Flamed Maple topped Surfcaster today.
Seriously Retro and Cool

2 Lipstick Pickups
Roller Nut
Floating Tremelo
Bolt on neck
Semi Hollow Body

Does anyone have any details on these guitars ?

use the search function, there have been a few threads about Surfcasters. there are a couple different models too.

I paid £250 which included a hard shell case.

I've changed the strings and set the flaoting trem up correctly with more springs.

The guitar sounds great clean and it's looks stunning.

Does anyone know who made the pickups ? Are they alnico magnets ?

The Fireglo version looks even better !!

I've taken some quick photo's that don't really do justice to the guitar as it looks better under natural light.

I always thought of like Dick Dale or somebody when I heard "Surfcaster" not Ricky Van Whoever.

I guess yours would be transparent orange? It looks awesome, right up there with the fireglo or whatever it's called.

250 Sterling is an incredibly good price for those guitars these days. Blues players love them and they are hard to find with prices reaching the equivalent of 400 Sterling +.
