• New Mutt!!

Finally got around to putting this one all together. Model 3 body (Thanks, Dave, 442w30) Jackson Rhoads ex neck from ebay, Kahler Killer trem from ebay a while back, Jackson j90c (Thanks, Pat, txcharvel)and 2 dimarzio stacked singles, IBZUSA C2. Shoulda been a single hum setup but I had that wired up guard so I threw the singles in for shits and giggles. Plays great, Im really digging the j90c. I put it here because I still consider it a Charvel. Heres a lousy pic.

No, its a kahler killer (2700). Its a drop in replacement for a kahler fulcrum. The strings feed through the saddles and then the knobs on the end tighten down on them, locking them tight. Works great. Each saddle can be adjusted from front to back and side to side. So intonation is easy and you can make it regular or trem spaced. Sure a floyd would be best but this drops right in to replace the fulcrum trem that so many of these guitars came with.

Yeah, it still needs black knobs and switch tip but it just about done.

I've got one on my Model 2 and it works great. I just didn't want to drill new holes on the guitar. It's got that bright sound typical from an Original Floyd Rose, so I guess it's made of steel too.

Hell yes it's made of steel. I've had one a lot longer than an OFR. The flexibility of it is great, but I've never been a big whammy bar user.
