Thought you all might get a kick out of my latest project! This is a very beat 1986 model 3 a friend/customer of mine got in a pawnshop for $150.00 (including a pretty nice case!). He brought the guitar down here to see if I could fix it up and make it nice again. Soooooo, this is what I talked him into . I doweled the original trem post holes (Kahler fulcrum), and did a tiny bit of routing for a Floyd. Next I got on the phone with Dave (budman) and ordered one of his killer custom pick guards in flat black. The paint is base/clear House of Kolors Neon Yellow over a buff urethane primer base. The color is so freaking bright you damn near need sunglasses just to look at it in daylight, but for some reason I couldn't capture that in pics. Probably my cheapo camera! Anyhoo, I feel like I breathed a little new life into this poor 'ol axe. It now has a Floyd and EMG 85, and absolutely plays and sounds killer! What do you all think?
