Model 2 pickup info

A couple months ago I pickup a model 2 from a small local music store while I was on vacation. From what I've been able to find out it is an 87/88 model 2, electric blue with the Jackson licensed floyd. But the pickup is an active EMG. My guess is the previous owner switched out the Jackson active for the EMG. Does anyone know if Jackson/Charvel offered EMG's as a factory option back then?

I'm just curious if my Charvel's been modified or if it's all stock. Thanks!

It would have come with a Jackson J90c Pickup from the factory. If the logo was gone, that would look a lot like an EMG...

Does it say EMG on it?

It does have the EMG logo on it. I had it setup after I bought it and the tech said it was an EMG 81. I haven't taken it out to confirm that since I like how it sounds in the guitar and I don't have any plans to change it back to a Jackson active.

Yeah the EMG-81 is added. Incidentally I have put one in my Model 2 as well. The J-90C is a passive p/u, btw.
