Rising Sun Journeyman-8 or 6 rays

Why in the hell did Jackson switch the ammount of rays on the graphic of the Rising Sun on new Chavel Journeymans?

I just noticed my NAMM show Journeyman has 8 rays and almost all the new ones I seen have only 6. WTF [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

Good question. I've been trying to find that answer for a couple months now. The only response I've gotten is the 8 rays were on the original production run of the Journeymans. They were limited to 300. I haven't been able to confirm this at J/C. I was told this by a shop owner in Canada. He was selling an 8 ray that he bought from his Canadian rep.

Why they changed is beyond me. The 8 rays have more character than the 6 rays IMO.
