That might be the nicest finish (or lack thereof) I've seen on a Model 6.

Your guitar is either a 1987 or a 1988 model, because it's got the JT-6 tremolo.

It's an '87, since the serial number starts with a 7 after the C.

Poplar. The neck-thru models were poplar, the bolt-ons were basswood.
