  • Just scored this Charvel on Yahoo! Auction

Should be in my greedy little hands tomorrow

It was up last week, but it was described as being a short scale guitar, so I didn't bid on it.

However, the woman who won that auction put it up immediately after it arrived, because she says that it is actually a 25.5 inch scale neck, and difficult for her to play with her small hands.

Any clues as to what model this is?

Will post more pictures when it arrives!

no frikkin' idea! Very cool though.

    Looks like a 275 body (?) with a Model 4M neck.

Or it could be a Made-for-Japan something or other

Probably made for Japan something or other :p I guess they had different models and different naming conventions.

At any rate that is a SWEET guitar! It screams 80s to me

          Thanks guys!

All of my other Jackson/Charvel guitars are 2 hum's with rosewood fingerboards. I was jonesing for a maple board and single coils so bad that I bought a Squier strat back in December.

I promised my wife that I'd sell the Squier if I won this auction... No great loss

              joe-

Yahoo! Auction is the most popular online auction service in Japan.

I have a friend who works for Yahoo! (in California), and he told me that the Japanese market is the only one in which they are more popular than Ebay.

As another fact regarding market share in different countries, there are no Burger Kings or Dunkin Donuts in Japan, either.

Charvel outsourced to Daisy Rock at one time?

Just kidding, looks like a cool axe. Slap some EMGs and it'll rawk!

I started another thread when the guitar arrived.

More pics and the model name are in this thread:
