Xeno was there ever a production Charvel made for the US that had a Charvel Takeuchi? I've never seen one... Also it looks like the route was for a Schaller JT-590 where the Charvel Takeuchi has the angled plate instead of the rounded corners.

In any event How does the Charvel Takeuchi feel compared to a JT-580 looks identical sans the inscribed Charvel name.

      Thanks JZ06!

      Xeno and Jackson-Charvel-

What is the general consensus regarding the quality of the JT580 compared to the JT6?

I've got a spare JT6 lying around, and will swap out the Takeuchi if the JT6 is considered to be better.

      Thanks in advance!

          scaristei-

It's hard to see the pink finish under all of the stickers on your guitar

Charvel Fusion Deluxes have medium scale necks, right?

              Thanks for the compliment, mab8485!

The guys at jacksonguitar.org told me that my guitar is featured in the 1990 Charvel catalog, as model number DK-060-SH. The color is designated as BGP, which is an abbreviation for "BubbleGum Pink".

List price back in 1990 was 60,000 yen (about $550), so this certainly wasn't a top of the line Charvel at the time, I'm guessing.

That's a beauty. I am comfortable enough in my manhood to own pink.

You are right....the scale is smaller.....I bought it for my daughter (at least thats what I told everyone ! ! !), as she is learning guitar and wanted a "cool" electric....She refuses to allow me to take the stickers off and bring it back to the orig. pink finish ! ! !

                      straycat-

I think that I would rather have a Schaller on this guitar, too. I am considering a trem swap sometime in the future.

So you're saying that if I have kids, I will be able to justify all further guitar purchases by telling my wife,

                      "Honey, Junior wanted this guitar!"

Nice axe!!! Sooooo.......since you're going to sell it to me, how much shipping to the USA?
I'll have to say, Budman isn't the only one who loves pink axes, it's one of my fav colors too. I miss my pink 3DR badly.
My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.
