What kind of music do you play with the 6, and what kind of amp do you use with it? Do you want an active system or "regular" hi-z pickups?

I recently put a Duncan Custom in the bridge and Hotrails in the neck of my Model 6 and I love it. I left the active midboost circuit in and they work fine with it. Quite a few people here have put EMGs in theirs. Like jacflash said, it depends on the sound you are going for.

Hi, I play blues & rock and want to keep the active system.

Well, what don't you like about the current system?

For me, after having been an EMG bigot for many years, I've had to admit that they're not ideally suited for all music styles. If you're playing blues & rock with a rather non-processed sound, you would probably prefer Duncans or DiMarzios.
