model 2 pickup ring

originally came with a j90c ?
but had an invader when i bought it
would the j90c use a diffent pickup ring that the screw spacing is wider because it has a standard one on there now and the previous owner had only two screws holding it down as the others dont line up

Yes, you need a larger pickup ring. Read this thread on more info as to where to get them:
