I'm not sure I've ever heard of those [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] . I thought the model series only went up to 7 which was the telecaster shaped body. Where did you come across this? I'd be very interested in hearing about them. Maybe they were Bass Models?

I seem to remember from the old MOAIP there being a Model 8. And yes, like the Model 4M the 8M is a maple board.

I do not believe there was ever a Model 8. I still have yet to see the Model 7 listed in the literature (anyone have catalog proof?) but most refer to it as the Tele as stated above. As Toejam said, there was an 850 (see the "e-fraid" thread) which was a neck through bass with toothpaste logo.

I own a Model 7. Yes, it is a telly.

The Model 8 is listed in the old MOAIP. I'm not sure why Kevin E. would go through the trouble with it if it didn't exist.

My model 7 is just like the one in the pic. I just acquired a 3DR in firecrackle. It truly is a beautiful graphic.

What was the difference between the Model 7 and the Legend? Was it just the Legend had the toothpaste logo, or did it have a full bridge humbucker, too?

Toothpaste logo is the difference.
I remember the Model 8 from the old MOAIP and it was a guitar. I can't remember what it said and of course there was no pict. Boy, that was a lot of help wasn't it [img]graemlins/images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]
