Help ID my new (used) Charvel (w/pics)

Hi folks, I just found this site and I'm in awe at the knowledge you all have and what I've learned already. I'm impressed at the way you educate those of us who need help.

Anyway, I just bought a Charvel and need some help ID'ing it. A Ferrari red Strat style body (replaced the orig. defaced black pick guard w/white), black Charvel guitar-logo head, 22 frets, 3 black single coil Jackson p'ups, 5 way switch, tremolo and 3 knobs. The ID plate sats Fort Worth, so I know (from you guys) it's Japanese made (serial # 295522).

I'd like to know the model (1A maybe?), year made, materials used, overall opinion and respectability of it. It has a few tiny dings but generally is in excellent condition. The guitar tech friend I bought it from set it up and let me have it for a hundred bucks ($US). I'm totally happy with it and think I got it for a steal for under $150 including the pickguard and strap.

I'd appreciate hearing any comments, anecdotes, drawbacks or mods. I'm ignorant concerning the (any) tremolo, also.

Finding this site has really given me a respect for all things Charvel and I now feel like I'm part of an elite club. Thanks for any help...

Dave's right, very thorough job. Now I have some data to back me up when I brag about the guitar! Next I guess I need a lesson on where to upload my pics so I can imbed them in the post.
