Dave, she looks damn pretty! Just curious, because it looks like in the grain on the fretboard in the pic above you have some white flecking coming through? Or is it just the light? I'm curious as one of my Model 6s displays this trait and I've tried sanding/detailing the board several times and it always shows after a few days. Any thoughts?

That's a rosewood which is ebonized (stained to black). You will never get that grain (small cracks) out of rosewood. It's just the way rosewood is and it doesn't affect playability or sound AFAIK. If you want denser wood, you should go with real ebony or maple.
