• My First Guitar

    Hello Everyone,

I just thought I'd post a picture of my first guitar, my intoduction to the amazing world of Jackson/Charvel and guitar playing in general. She was a birthday present five years ago. She can play the into riffs to Smoke on the Water and Iron Man all by herself...

By the way, what model is this? I think it might be a 275 deluxe. It has a licensed single locking Floyd Rose.

    Cheers,

    -Mike

      Nope, Predators had reverse headstocks.

Cool guitar! I'd ditch the single-locking trem for a real Floyd so you'll stay in tune. I had an original Floyd Rose II single-locking on my old Kramer, that thing was pretty much crap and didn't even compare to a great double-locking system.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

You can upgrade your current trem as it`s a Schaller. Just go to your local dealer and get the parts. All you need is 6 Bridge Saddles (Three different Heights, 2 Of each), 6 String Blocks and 6 String Block Clamps. Thats it, You then have yourself a Double Locking high quality trem unit.

Thanks for the good advice. This trem was so bad that my fixed bridge became my main guitar. If it is this easy to change I might actually do it. I was thinking about keeping my first guitar exactly as I got her, but this upgrade sounds clean and simple. Thanks again.

                Cheers,

                -Mike
