• Import parts

In the building project I'm on, I have noticed something. Surfing in Charvel sites, I see that my Charvel body is not an import, neither all of the other parts (tremolo, pickup, electronics), but the neck, and its back plate are an import, I think Japanese made(said I think, because in the San Dimas site they can't ensure they're not Taiwan or Korean). The Charvel logo neck plate serial number is 246044, and says P.O. box 2344 Fort Worth TX 76113 U.S.A. Acording to the San Dimas site my neck is an import because it has the logo type Charvel in 2.875 inches long, and bellow it says By Jackson\Charvel. I'm I right acording of what I read? I'm I doing an acceptable guitar? U.S.A. + Japanese? U.S.A + Taiwan or Korean? Can you help me to give an identity to my Frankestain? That serial number would put it in the range of the Model models (Japanese-made). The Model series bodies should all have the model number stamped into the neck pocket.
It's entirely possible that someone may have put an import neck/plate on a USA body.
    Got pics?

Hey there, you said this was a model 2c correct? So at least you know the body is japanese since the "model" series were all japanese. Still good stuff though!

Do you mean that the model 2 Charvel bodies are all japanese? or the "2C" body models are all japanese?

Your trying to link pictures from your hardrive! That doesn't work! You need to upload them to a host then put the url's for the hosted pics in the image address bar.

The entire Model Series Charvels were Japanese made. As were most of the toothpaste logos but not all.

                          Re: Import parts

OK San Dimas series are USA ones, and "Models" series are Japanese ones. But as I read about necks in the San Dimas site, some of the toothpaste (about 2" long) that says Made in USA below, ya know were it belongs. And the Charvel toothpaste logo with "By Jackson/Charvel" below are japanese. This is what I got to begin my Charvel Import project...

All the pots, knobs and microswitch are here with a J90C and a Jackson Floyd licenced tremolo waiting for its assemble. I'm gona make a little change in the body color, but not too much. Now that I can post the photos, when it is finished, I'll show you the final product.

PS. Thaks Jim Shine to teach me how to do what need to post pics.
