Flying Tiger Model 2 (finally)

Ok, I've just about given up on the transfer/decal/waterslide graphic idea - need more experimenting to get it 100%. I got close a coupla times, but nothing solid and foolproof.

Anyway, I copped out and just did it as a sticker [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

The camera flash makes it look a lot better - the body has yellowed slightly and the sticker's white parts are stark white, so it looks kinda cheesy in person due to the color differences.
I suppose I should just trim the white areas off, but I'm thinking of outlining it in glow in the dark paint [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Nice job Newc! I like the glow in the dark idea too. Keep on f'n with it and it'll turn out looking too cool! BTW, where did ya get that killer pickup?.....and is that a special made pickup bezel? [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]

I got that pickup from a cool-as-hell JCF'er, and the custom-made oversized pickup ring was made by Budman - got 'em both from the same cool-as-hell JCF'er [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I got the decal image in a Testors Custom Decal System for model cars and crap like that [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
All I had to do was resize it and fix it so it wasn't pixelating when printed (cuz it's meant to be printed really small) [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

I'm still working on perfecting my 'Do-It-Yourself' transfers (tried large Waterslide decals, but the ink started to wash off when it hit the water 24 hours after I cleared it - gotta try another clear) [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
Anyhoo, once I get it right I'll be glad to do one for someone else (for a fair fee, hee hee [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] )

The neck's a Warmoth Strat neck I got in a Warmoth Star parts kit from a fellow JCF'er whose name eludes me for the moment [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
