Looking to pick up a Charvel nice player in mid price range.
A lot out there but don't know good from bad.
Suggestions appreciated...Models, American, Imports,etc.
Couple on Evilbay that look interesting but thought I'd ask for input.

Thanks...Sirpent

I'd buy a Charvel 475, of which I happen to be selling a fine Desert Crackle finished one. Email me for details and pics...

Nah, I think a model 4 is a much better guitar for the money, of which I happen to be selling a fine lipstick red one. Email me for details and pics...

Re: New... need Charvel advice

Charvels are probably the best bang-for-your buck guitars on the market now!

I picked up a Model 6 for $200 as a project guitar....has the JT-6 trem (not the Kahler). It has some finish/body issues but Dr Newcenstein and I have a plan for it

Dr N is going to provide the details/pix as it is resurected...until then...hush hush

The point is....they are easily modded/customized for not a lot of $$.

You can't go wrong with the 475, a major improvement over the 375 IMO, I have had both.

Re: New... need Charvel advice

I have a 475 deluxe and it is a really great guitar. The desert crackle finish is really cool--I had a chance at one but missed out--so I have a red one. I think I paid about $300 bucks for mine and it was a lefty, so a righty should be a lot less.

Re: New... need Charvel advice

I would go for a 750XL but then you might be spoiled for a model series. Although those are great guitars they just arent the 750XL.
For a model series any of the 1-6 would be a great guitar it all depends on the options you want. Single hum or dbl hum, H/S/S. H/ /S etc...
also the Charvel Fusion is sweet too. I love my Desert Crackle Fusion. (no it's not for sale.)
