The first is a Model 1, the second is a Model 1A

Both Basswood bodies, maple necks, maple fretboards (as you can see), Gotoh made standard tremolo.
        Pickups:
Model 1: J90C Jackson USA Humbucker
Model 1A: 3 J100 Jackson USA Single Coils

To answer your 2nd question, the Model 3A is a floyded, two humbucker, strat body. However it has a rosewood fretboard. But it is not uncommon or difficult to stitch necks. The JT-6 nut can be easily applied to a neck without a locking nut.

That, I'm not sure of, but I think others have tried it and succeeded with Warmoth necks. As with carpentry.. Measure twice, cut once... You might want to consult Dr. Newcanstein on this one.
