    **sigh**

Most of the 1986 versions of the model series have Kahler tremolos. (The Model 1 and variants being the exeption with the Gotoh V-trem - the Model 7 was not in existence at that time) Of those models the Model 2 and Model 3 (and variants) had the Kahler Fulcrum tremolo and the Model 4, Model 5, and Model 6 had the Kahler Flatmount tremolo. In 1987 Kahlers were discontinued on all models and all models requiring locking tremolos. They started using the Jackson JT-6 tremolo until 1989 when the Model series was discontinued. The Contemporary Series (IE - toothpaste Charvels) was introduced, bringing the JT590 Jackson/Schaller Tremolo into play.

Well, if your Model 6 did have a Schaller trem and a "toothpaste" logo, it wouldn't be a Model 6, it would be a 650XL. Because it has the Jackson tremolo, it was made between 1987 and 1988.

well that didn't tell me anything, you basically said. if your guitar was different, it would be something else.

...................what are you trying to say?

for the fact that this model 6, has the small charvel logo.. and a jackson trem... active electronics (three toggle switches) and EMG's in it.

which model is this exactly. what kind of wood is it made of?

You know what, I'll let someone else answer your question...

"Chump don't want no hep, chump don't get no hep."

How easily I'm reminded why I don't post here much anymore.

Uhm, im sorry. I wasn't trying to offened you.
It's really not my fault you didn't make any sense with your post, nor did you resolve any questions. Honestly, I don't know why you made that post.

not every post in this thread is directly responding to you, arpthis.

Tekky was responding to Fix_Metal's post that he had a Kahler Flyer on his Model 6 with a breakdown of which bridges were used on which guitars, from the beginning of the Model series in '86, to the end of the Contemporary series in '91. His post was completely sensible. At no time did he suggest that your guitar had a toothpaste logo or a Schaller trem - but you seemed compelled to respond to his post that it had neither. Anyone following the thread had seen that you had already stated that your guitar was a Model 6 & had a JT-6 trem.

it's really not our fault your comprehension skills leave something to be desired.

well at the situation that, I posted this thread in hopes for responses to something. and it kept getting replies. I would immediately read the most recent one, Does it make sense to reread posts everytime you you get a new reply? I highly doubt it. comprehension doesn't really have anything to do with this.
But at any rate, from me making the original mistake, and then a rude response back, rather than "this was directed towards ____" is also pretty uncalled for.

As far as the wood question a few posts up, the Model 6 & the 650XL are both maple neckthrough with poplar wings.
