Re: Hey! Help Me plz!
Well Fellas I'd sell it , but Im gonna need $400 to part with it . I played my buddys model 6 several years ago and fell in love . I was Delighted to find this one , and it wasnt TOO much of a bargain , but its in really nice shape and has an Old tweed hard shell case , looks like a carvin case , the logo which was either carvin or charvel is missing off the case . I always bought the MODEL 1 and 2's because they are much cheaper than a strat and play as well , or better in some cases . I need a double actave guitar with trem too . I always played Ibanez because the RG's are cheap and fast , but this guitar is really what I was looking for . Thanks for the help! I will get pics soon!

Hey! Help Me plz!
Hey! New here . Glad to have found JCF. I've always played Ibanez and I've had 4839208576 Model 1 and 2 Charvels . Apparently Im a fan Yesterday to my complete and utter happiness I walked in a pawn shop and Picked up Immediately and bought what I expected to be a model 6 , but now Im a little confused . It has Active Electronics , 3 controls and 5 way switch, Neck through of course , whole guitar is fire engine red except for the Headstock face which is of course Black and says By Jackson/Charvel . Has Two Humbucker that say Jackson on them . No Binding on neck or headstock. Has a Khaler Trem , says made in USA . I know the guitar is foreign. Serial #c603583 . I was wondering what model this is (the dreaded question) Is it a 5 or 6? Something else totaly? Any help would be great!

Re: Hey! Help Me plz!
Hey! welcome to JCF.
The guitar you picked up is an early model 5: 2 humbuckers, Kahler Pro trem (which is US made), neck through etc. Has dotinlays. the year it was made is 1986 (the first "6" gives that away, but the kahler would have told that as well). I am jalous, because that is a guitar I am looking for as well: a model 5 with Kahler
