I´m about to buy a Model 6...

It´s in mint condition, and it will not come cheap, so i wonder this:
How good are they?
Since i live in Sweden there aren´t many around, and especially not in this condition, so i think i will go for it.
I´ts a late 80´s guitar with S/S/H SD´s, renovated Kahler (Floyd Rose parts), and the colour is white.
Should i buy it or not?!

They are comparable in quality to a USA Soloist except for the rosewood fretboard
which is in place of the ebony board on the Soloist. It should still be cheaper than a Soloist even in Sweden, comparably cheaper than a USA Soloist that is. The only other functional difference is the 3 on-off switches on the Model 6, 1 for each pickup, instead of the 5-way switch
that most H-S-S guitars have. I like the 3 switches myself, but most of mine have the 5-way so I go with what I'm playing.

Model 6's are great guitars by all accounts, an I'd love to find one. I have to make do with the Model 5A I found in Bangkok. It's a hard life [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I really love theese 80´s Charvels.
I had one around 87, bought it new, with a single Humbucker, Jackson trem, Pearlywhite metallic kind of finish - Gorgeous! Wish i had it now...
I will pick it up next weekend, then play my ass off, and then post a report!

You definitely will NOT regret that purchase. I don't care how much they cost, they are worth every penny. And of course, post pics!
