  • Just bought a 375 deluxe

    Here's the ebay link:

It came in the other day. It's a really really nice guitar! Actions super low, now that I set it up with 9's. I also junked the reflex pickups in it, replaced the bridge with a dimarzio breed, left the middle and neck empty, and wired in a allparts volume pot so it works as a one pickup one vol control guitar. I left the tone pot and switch in for looks. I want to take out the tone pot, instal a toggle switch there and put a one single coil in the neck and just leave the middle empty. So i'll have a HS one vol, 3way switch guitar. I just am not sure what pu to put in the neck yet. Anyway I'll take some pics of her current stage later on today.

Oh yeah, and there is no fort worth texas stamp on the neck plate, did these(later model series) not have them?

Looks cool! I'm only running an EMG 81 in the bridge of my 375 Deluxe. Killer guitar

edit: sorry the pics got screwed up while uploading them...

I like the Jackson made "hot rails" single coil pickups. If you want to be different, put one in the neck and a J120 (traditional single coil) in the middle position. You'll have plenty of flexibility this way.

The J200 stacked single coils tend to sound a little muddy to me.

are these like sd hotrails? or are they an actual single coil? I'd like somthing that deliveres a smooth but clear lead tone for sweep arpeggios. I actually think I'm going to leave the middle empty, I never really use it. Eventually I plan on getting a San Dimas H S configuration with a maple board, but this will have to hold me over in the mean time.
