I have a Model 6 that I won off Ebay last year. I was skeptical at first when bidding, as I hate buying anything before playtesting, but the price was too good to pass up. Since I received the Charvel I've been consistently amazed at how well built it is. It's held up very well for a 15 yr old guitar.
The first thing I did when I got it was to replace the bridge PU with a Duncan Custom. Talk about amazing tone! It has better inherent tone than my Les Paul. Never thought I would find another guitar that would beat my LP in the tone and sustain department. It even sounds better acoustically. I haven't been able to do much else to it due to financial limitations but things are looking up again and I'll be taking some suggestions I've read on these forums and putting a lil 59 or Screaming Demon in the neck position. I'll also be replacing the JT6 trem with an original Floyd. When I first got the guitar I intended to fill all the trem routes and make it a hardtail with strings thru the body. But I've come to enjoy the Floyd quite a bit and decided to keep it the same. Great for all those hair-metal dives
It has been refinished at least once and the guy did a pretty good job. I'm not entirely happy with the color, Metallic Blue, so I may have it refinished again at some point.
I'll try and post some pics of it later tonite.
