J90's... weren't that the highest output PU's Jackson ever made? anyway, how do they sound? I was planning on replacing them as soon as I get my "5", but that was based on the assumption there were J50bc's in it (which SUCK IMO), so maybe there is no (direct) need for replacement

Both of my Model 5s have had J50s in both positions. I had never read any different, either--which catalog are you looking at? Must be a misprint. The 5A and 5fx had J95's in the bridge--I believe it was the 750xl that had J80s, wasn't it?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Did you buy yours new, because according to the 86 First Impressions catalog AND the 86/87 Brochure, they BOTH say that they are J80C's. Somehow I don't think they are both misprints, but hey, I've been wrong before [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

According to the MoAIP, the Model 5 had 2 J80C Jackson USA Humbuckers.
