1.) the screw that holds down the whammy BAR, not the bridge, keeps coming loose and because of this the bar moves around and cuts up my guitar's sustain.

how can i fix this? and whats the best way to tighten the screw as it isn't really that accessible, meaning its hard to get to with fingers and with wrenches.

2.) my volume pot makes a LOUD pop everytime i turn it up, would it just need to be cleaned? or replaced?

3.) the guitar makes alot of fuzz, is this just the grounding, or would it need new pickups?

4.) what are the best pickups to put into a Model 6? I use the Model 6 just for Metal e.g. power metal, thrash, traditional, any kind of metal tuned to E.

5.) The battery is for the treble pot right? if I take the battery out will it affect the sound of my pickups at all? because i never use the bass or treble pots.

6.) Does anyone know the name of the finish that is on my Guitar? From a Jackson poster that i have, it looks like Retro Red.

The trem arm has an allen screw on the bottom just find the appropriate allen wrench and tighten up Take the back trem cover plate off and if you can't reach the allen screw use a pair of locking pliers put the wrench in the pliers and tighten the screw. The fuzz could be a bad solder joint(ground)or a bad pot,or a loose ground wire. The battery powers a pre amp attached to the vol pot, the 3rd knob is a mid boost control. The pickups are passive. The pot can be cleaned With a shot of electric parts cleaner / lube from radio shack.Just dont get the cleaner on the paint it will dull the clearcoat.I hope that helps.
When the battery starts to go on my model six it kind of gets fuzzy sounding.

The collared-bar mounts have the allen screw at the bottom, but the older screw-in bars had a different type of mount - get one of the newer collared types from StewMac with the bar and voila`

The pop-in bar may also have too much play in it because the two little plastic bushings on it have worn out. You can get them replaced. Or you can always try an Ibanez pop-in bar, as they'll work, too.

As far as what pickups to use in a Model 6, that's a toughie. For your kind of music, a Duncan Distortion would work quite well. I just swapped a Distortion OUT of my Soloist in favor of a DiMarzio Steve's Special because the Distortion fuzzed out my pick attack too much. But they have great tonal balance and are great for heavy-duty rhythm playing--lots of 'chunk'.

Personally, I wouldn't change the neck/middle pickups unless you are going to remove the mid-boost circuit. If so, you might want to consider a couple of Duncan Little '59 pickups for those positions--they are single-coil sized humbuckers that will be a lot more powerful sounding than real single coils for the type of music you play.

If you want to move up in $$$, you could swap all three pickups out for an active EMG setup. A lot of people seem to do that, and EMGs work very well with C/J neckthru guitars.

My pop-in bars always swing in the JT-6, originals as well as Ibanez bars.

Drove me nuts.

Until I took out my handy dandy teflon tape.

A few turns around the plastic bushing end, and presto.. no more swing.

Also works wonders for floyd posts that wobble in the inserts.

I'd replace the entire electronics if I were you (actually I did that myself as well), I don't really care for the active shit.

I prefer DiMarzio PU's over SD's, don't know why, is no real logical explanation for, but I love the sound of a DiMarzio Steve's Special in my model 6: tight sound, clean pick attack, nice harmonics, nice bottom as well and surprisingly not a bad clean for a high output PU. For metal it is my choice of PU. For the neck and middle: if you are a metalplayer I would suggest the good old hotrails, simply a nice high output PU, which gives you a nice violin like tone. other options are lil screamin demon (like I have), jb jr or lil 59 or a mix of those.

btw, nice colour
