My 97 JRS-2 doesn't have the address on the plate...

Nor do my 95-96 Dinky Reverses...

    Or my 93-94 Dinky STD...

Or my 90-92 Jackson Fusion PRO (which happens to have a Charvel plate and Floyd).

And last, but not least, Skully (1990, confirmed via the date on the paint job) does not have one either...

My 375 deluxe has the address on it. I believe its either a 89 or 90 model not sure. Serial number 327524 last guitar in the gallery.

maybe it's the difference between Charvel and Jackson plates.. I don't own a Charvel from the "script logo" period.

          Neck Plate ?....TEKKY??

Would anyone know when they removed the Fort Worth address from the import neck plates? They look identicle to the Model series plates but have no address on them. I'm just curious of an approximate year. Was this the beginning of the 90's?

          Thanks,

Hmmm, I'm stumped. I'll have to check my geetars when I get home...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's kinda what I'm thinking. That it was when they switched over from the "Model" series guitars is when they used the updated neck plates.

                Thanks for the help,

Actually, after further inspection, my 375 Deluxe may possibly be a 90 model because the owners manual has a 1990 copywright date on it. I've always referred to it as a 91, I guess, because, that's when I remember buying it. My serial number is 377470.

So, I guess somewhere between Mudicker's 89/90 327524 and My 90/91 377470, the address vanished.

I'm glad you brought this up Budman, I was curious about it too but never asked.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ser #. I have import Charvels (guitar logo) with ser's up past 33XXXX but I also have toothpaste logo'd Charvels and Jackons with no address ranging from 22XXXX to 36XXXX. I don't get it.

                      Re: Neck Plate ?....TEKKY??

Then it could be that one of the venders simply produced a batch of plates without the address. Upon closer inspection I noticed my 86 3a has a tiny "tm" above the L on the neck plate. Where the 375 has the circled R above the L. Now could that mean that some tm plates and r plates share the same serial numbers? Just something else to add to the model series mysteries.

                        Re: Neck Plate ?....TEKKY??

I just looked at my 375's neckplate again and it does have the "R" above the headstock on the guitar-style logo. It also has the "By Jackson/Charvel" wording underneath in raised letters. (very small, and very nice detail)

I also noticed, (never did before) that the guitar shaped logo has a pointy headstock with 6 tuners on the top as opposed to the regular 3+3 headstock guitar-shaped logo used on my other Charvels......

Oh well, maybe some things just aren't meant to be figured out completely...

Wait, I just completely figured out that I need another beer.....At least some things remain consistent!

BTW, the 3 on a side headstock is usually related to USA Charvels.

By golly you are right! On both counts I might add! I just checked the gallery on the older imports and sure enough! I guess I never paid attention to that before because the only one I have from back then has the script logo on the headstock. My Model A+ has the the 3+3 and my Bullseye has the 3+3. You learn something new everyday and sometimes it's right under your nose!

I need another beer now....oh wait, it's the morning and I'm at work now....DOH!!!!!
