The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

Well, "nitrocellulose" isn't synonymous with any automotive laquer paints, they are all acrylic based laquer, not nitro. Also, there are no true "polys" that come from a spraycan, they're merely enamel based with some sort of polyresin additive (which I haven't quite figured out yet) but anyway, any true ployurethane finish is a two part product with a polyurethane (basically plastic!) resin and a catalyst (hardener). You can't do that with a spraycan.
My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.
Car-Quest sells automitive supplies. They mix it while I wait, It's the regular 2 part they sell to automitive painters. That have a machine that fills the spray bombs with the mixed paint, and then add the propelant.
This isn't off the shelf stuff. I'm surprised you never heard of this before, being involved with painting
Heck, one time.. they admited they added too much "catalyst", and had to start again.
I can get any colour from the automotive chart, actually, thats how you order... by the paint code.
