Naked M6 - Pics and opinions. WARNING Many pics.

Sorry for the banwidth admins.

Okay, heres my M6 almost completely naked.

Notice the complete lack of binding.

I need some opinions, I was going to go with a dye job flame veneer top and bottom, with solid sides and neck.

I'm toying with the idea of making the whole guitar trans.. problem is, I've got that ugly green running on the top edge of the guitar.

Do you think it'll look okay once stained, or is it too ugly and should be covered up with a solid colour.

Also, how about a clear trans finish, no stain?

Remember.. the back and front will be flame maple.

Oh.. any tips on putting in new binding.. I hope I can slip it under the fret ends.. I don't wanna have to lift the frets.

I'm trying to decide if I want 2 hums or perhaps a single hum.. hrm...

I think the grain looks good, and it will look fine with a trans finish. A single hum configuration would look great too, especially with the flame top! I'll look forward to seeing this project progress! [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

i think it would look great with a flame top and 1 hum and 1 volume to.you should try to do flamed maple binding.or even just a natural maple binding.i think that would look hot!dont forget to put the veneer on the headstock, or maybe a rosewood cap with abalone purfling around it and down the edge of the fretboard and the logo inlayed in abalone to or maybe inlayed in BRASS!! oh ya baby im getting so excited now !!...and finish it in that color that PRS uses i think its called blackcherry.

ya ok ive decided ,flamed top and back with 1 hum 1 vol,rosewood cap on the headstock with abalone purfling on the head and neck and flamed maple binding around the head and neck.Logo inlayed in brass and finished in PRS Blackcherry.
And topped off with gold hardware.man that would look so sweet!
