Korean Model 5/6 manufacture?

I was talking with a buddy who insists that these guitars were made in Korea. I could care less where they were made, but I always thought they were of Japanese origin. Any insights from more knowledgeable members?

Both definately made in Japan 86-88.

No, they were all made in Jackson's Japanese factory.
