• Difference between Predator, Fusion, 275/270 ?

Howdy Folks,

Was wonderin' if there's a easy way to tell the difference between these models. Slanted single, or slanted Humbucker. Reverse headstock, JT600, 22 or 24 frets. I'm just lost...

Thanks in advance,
Junior

Well, a 270 is a Charvette I believe. Top of the line one too.

The 275 has two slanted singles in a humbucker confing at the bridge.

The predator has a normal hum at the bridge and a slanted single at the neck along with a reverse headstock.

A fusion is easy to tell as they have 24 frets, other bolt-ons from that era had 22 and are standard Fender scale. A fusion also should have a lower horn cutaway.

All of these guitars have dot markers.

A 375 also has dots but has a hum-sin-sin config, then the 475 is the same but has sharkfins instead of dots.

Finishes vary model to model.

Thanks! Cleared up most of the confusion, the rest I was born with...

Also the Fusion is 24.75" scale length. The 275 and 475 are 25 1/2in.

Thanks guys! It seems the model I'm intrested is the Predator. I've been out bid on Ebay 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Let's see if I can make it number four.
Thanks again,
