I don't have as many as I once did, but I think that's about to change again. The blue Jackson in the front is an '86 San Dimas with 13xx serial number.

Great Model series Charvels! So, are you a fan of the Kahler flatmount or do you just tolerate it?!
Me?..I like playing both Kahlers and Floyds (just not at the same time. )
"Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."
Now that is a great display of Charvel quality. Way to go Dana just have 2 myself right now... hehe but in time my friend this will change. I want to save up and some day buy a sweet model 6. Love The Pic.
Hey, thanks for the nice comments! Yes, there are 3 Model 4's...that's been my number 1 player since 1987. And about the Kahlers, I actually prefer them to the Floyds and JT6. Probably because my first 2 trem-equipped axes had them, and I got very used to them before ever using a Floyd.

Yeah, I find the Kahler to be very comfortable to play.
You gotta help me here..I swear I count 4 x Model 4's in that pic!: The red, white, and black one in the front row, and the red one on the back right on the end. Or is the red one with the Sharkies in the front actually a 4a or some other variant of the Mod 4?

Oh...duh, that was a mis-type. Yes, there are 4 Model 4's. The red one on the bottom, though, is a 4A. And the one all the way to the right, bottom, is actually not black...it's purple. They called it "black cherry," but it's dark purple, almost like a plum color. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Mark. The Model 4a had sharkfins and a JT-6 trem, rather than dots and a Kahler. The plain Model 4 was only available in 1986, and after that, the 4a was introduced. But you already knew that, right?

No...No...No...That's an odd number. You need one more to round it out to double digits. JK! May I have permission to show this to my wife whenever I am GASSING? I only have 4 or 5 guitars, so, when she sees this, I'll look like I don't have enough.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually I didn't know that. I have two 1988 model 4s both with sharkies and JT6s but I didn't know they called them 4As. I also had an 86 with Kahler and dots but I sold it. Model 4s are very good axes.
My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.
