I've got actives(forget what model they're called) on my model 4M and they sound a hell of a lot the same as the EMG85 on my Model 2 above, bloddy awesome!

I have a question: Should i buy a Charvel model 2 guitar with a kahler tremlo and single JB humbucker?, it's black and in mint condition.

NO!, LET THAT TO ME, and stay, away and still.

How come the J65 in my Jackson Concept blows away the J90 in my Charvel 1? Could it be the Charvel pup wiring or bad volume pot? The Charvel was built for me and I'm no expert. The action and pickup height on both guitars is exactly the same.

Sorry about the off-topic question but it WAS brought up here

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Gary, the J90 you have may not be a J90C. The "C" stands for ceramic as in the magnets they used in the pickup. If yours is a J90C, maybe you should have it wax dipped as that can help, but quite honestly, sometimes you can just have a "lemon" of a pickup.

You may be right cause I never knew that. This is the first guitar I've had with a J90. I was playing my Jackson last night and was hitting pinch harmonics with almost every note. The harmonics on the Charvel are almost non-existent. Its the one with the super thin Legend neck which I absolutely LOVE! Gonna try a truss rod adjustment soon to adjust the action a bit and maybe I'll achieve the harmonics a little easier.
