The trem bushing doesn't look like it's going anywhere now that I glued it in with some Titebond.

I am going to have to get the trem blocked and the action / intonation set though, it's a bit off.

Nice score, Kid. I've got a journeyman with the same 8 ray graphic. Not too many of those out there. In case you were wondering, the writing says "peace" (translation compliments of Toru aka Dinkyjacksonman).

Mine plays great - love the neck, which is unfinished like yours. So I'd have to say that the previous owner of yours didn't sand it down (but I've had friends ask me the same question). It's a little different at first but it's very comfortable after you play it for awhile.

Just out of curiosity (1) what's your serial number so I can see how close it is to mine, and (2) how clean are your red lines on the rays? Mine are perfect but I've seen 3 other 6 ray graphics and the lines are sloppy. You could see how the red bled under the tape. I haven't seen another 8 ray graphic in person and yours was only the second one I've seen on ebay. Definitely a sweet guitar. Enjoy!

I kind of figured this guy didn't sand the neck, it is too uniform and nicely done if you ask me...

So were there different rising sun finishes? Maybe the different ray finishes had different sayings on there? Maybe ours are peace, others might be war [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

My 8 rays are clean as f$#k bro, no bleeding through at all. So these might be somewhat rare? cool!
