I was out looking at a few places and found some nice guitars but they all were more than I'ld pay. The Mod 2 was $300 that seems alot I had gotten a Mod 550xl & a 5fx for less from the same place awhile back.

Prices are going up. I wouldn't be surprised if the shop got a clue & started checking eBay to help price their stuff. Most of the pawnshops here seem to these days.Originally posted by jtr -
I paid $300 for mine, and I don't regret it one bit. Mine was in very good condition when I bought it though. It's hard to snag one for a couple of hundred bucks now days. The Model series prices have been slowly going up for a while now. If you watch eBay you can sometimes catch one for around the $250 range, but those are getting fewer and farther between.Comment

I got my Model 2 from eBay for $305.00 w/ case. At first I thought I paid a little too much but I have to say it is one awesome guitar. I now think I got a great deal. It was in almost mint condition for it's age and the cool metallic blue just made it even better. I put in an EMG 81 and I now consider it my MAIN guitar. I have been a dyed-in-the-wool Gibson guy for many years (almost 30!) and after playing this Model2 for a while, I am HOOKED on Charvels!!!!Guitars:

I got mine right here off the forum for $225 shipped a few weeks ago. Not mint but real nice shape. I see models on ebay for under $300 all the time. You just gotta be patient.Comment

When e-bay first came out it pulled the prices way down on these guitars because everyone could sell them on ebay for more then what a pawn or guitar store would give them. Now the prices are peaking because there aren't that many just sitting in closets anymore. Guitar stores that sell are alot of used guitars can't find any used guitars to buy because they're all on ebay. Get them will we can guys! Steveb91
