Headstock type on Model A, why so ugly??

Well you guys (RacerX) motivated me to get out my Model A neck and a Strat neck and put it to the test. The picture is a concept drawing I threw together today. The top picture shows a strathead in pencil and a model A head in red (even though it's hard to see, it's there). The bottom picture shows what the end result would be. You can't do much with the Ball because it is smaller than the ball on a strat but you can mod the rest of it. So what do you guys think?

They look kinda like a duck foot. Think about it.

I also don't like the headstock on the posted Model A.. looks too neutral or something..

Those headstocks make the charvel one look really good.

The rounded Charvel headstock design just looks weak too rounded with kind of bulbous end, no points. The Roscoe isn't much better with its own bulbous look.

The "model" headstock reminds me of the headstock on my PC1..I don't mind it.. it grows on you after a while.

RJ, actually the two are a little different (I have both). I like them both better than the traditional pointy but prefer the strathead best.

The difference is so subtle, most would be hard pressed to notice it.
The end on the PC1 is slightly larger.
From a distance, they look the same.
Now the PS7 is a different story. The difference there is obvious.
