charvel predator? any good?

what kind of trems do they have? are they schaller or Jackson?

How hard wearing is the fire crackle finish?

I think the Predators had the Jackson-badged Schaller; JT-590. Very good trem - the only weak point being that there are no hardened inserts for the intonation lock screws to go into, so the threads in the baseplate can strip easilly if you're not careful.

Is this only for JT590 or for original Schaller floyd too?

Just for the JT-590. The Schaller floyd or floyd II as it is also known has the hardened inserts.

The JT-590 is the Schaller Floyd. Schaller made them for Jackson and stamped them either "Charvel" or "Jackson." The Floyd Rose II is the same unit, but stamped "Floyd Rose II."

New Schallers have the threaded insert in the base plate..highly recommended.
