  • Fusion Deluxe maple

Just scored this off the bay. White with maple board????? I just couldn't resist! They only made these for one year (1991)

Wow. What a sweet looking guitar. I've got a Fusion Deluxe myself and I really like it, but with a maple board it would kick ass even more... congrats man, great score.

It had only been up a few hours when I saw it. I hit the BIN as soon as I realized what it was.

its a fusion deluxe..24.75, nice looker. White matching headstock wth black logo would look really sharp on that as a mod Mark.

                  It's a magnetic pickup Henrik.

                      Congrats on the score!

I have one of these with a maple neck too, they are great. How big of a deal would it be to replace that trem with a real Floyd?

The only problem with an OFR is the long string lock bolts. The rear of the route on most of the Schaller equipped axes wasn't quite long enough for any kind of "pull backs" with the longer bolts on the OFR. In another words, you could use an OFR, but you'd have to replace the bolts with shorter ones.

Now, my opinion......why the hell would you worry about replacing a Schaller with an OFR??? The Schallers are every bit as good (maybe better) as any OFR. I think it's just the "buzz word" of having an OFR.

Of course, I'm a JT6 fan too....so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Your Fusion's already got a maple neck. Mark's just happens to have a maple fingerboard as well.

I think it is a JT6 on that Charvel Fusion isn't it? Maybe not...

Anyway, the hardware on mine is getting worn out. Not sure what to replace it with.

No bro, it's a Charvel logo'd Schaller (real deal made in Germany). They put them on a lot of the early toothpaste logo axes, and a lot of the Jackson USA CS axes too (with jackson logo). They called it the JT590.
