Were there any Red model 3a guitars that didnt have a scratchplate/pickguard?

they initially had the scratchplate, but lost it in later production years. I'm not sure if it was '87 or '88 they went without

Yes, 2 hums, JT-6, rosewood, no scratchplate, 87 and 88. 86 had the scratchplate and a kahler. I have 2 red 86's and a black 87-88.

Yes. I have a Model 3A with no scratch plate, 2 humbucks, and you know the rest. I'll put a picture up for ya.
