Im almost ashamed to admit this here, I spent 478 bucks today on hardware for my Model 3. i wanted to go with the duncans but was too afraid i would get somthing that didnt fit...now watch the emgs not fit

What do you think of this setup:

Oh yea and a new truss cover from fretsonthenet. black anodized....something. so basically 500 bucks.

I think it will be a pretty kick ass guitar when it's all done.

I'm a Duncan fan, but that's just personal preference. EMG is still quality. That guitar is gonna rip peoples' faces off. Money well-spent.

It's gonna kick ass. To some it might seem like a lot to spend to upgrade an import, but Model Series Charvels are well worth it.

You will have to get a budman pickup ring for that humbucker, and a drool rag, and youll be set!

I've got the EMG 81/SA/SA set in my Model 4 - absolutely rips. Definately get the pickup ring from budman to make it look great.

I might need help with wiring, looks like the EMGs come wired for two tones and one volume plus a 5 way and my setup only has one volume and one tone. should i just soder the second tone controll wires to the first?
