  • Mint Model 1a found

Hi ya'll, I am new here. Name is Rob from Ft.Worth , Texas, yeah that's right, not far from IMC back in the day. I am constantly hitting out of the way pawn shops around town. This is what I found 2 weeks ago.

Based on what I read here, this is a 1987 Model 1a. It has a TM gasket plate, a registered head stock and a San Dimas route. It is absolutly un-molested mint and perfect in every way. This thing must have been lost in someones closet. It is completly untouched. The guitar must not have been played in sometime because I had to sand on the jacks input to get good contact. No rusty screws or saddles. Here is a pic of "Blackie" found in a pawn shop in south Ft.Worth about 3 miles from where he left IMC in 87'.

Welcome to the board. Just remember anything in Fort Worth was made in Japan.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

Yes I am aware that anything FT.Worth is Japan, but it's kinda cool to live near the infamous IMC. I have been there many times back in the day.

Mine was exactly that color, but I added a white strat pickguard, thought it looked alot better with some contrast

I dug mine but I prefer the FR trem to the vintage style.
