  • the newest project. 99% done

Well i finished (more or less) the Charvel 275 project i was planning. I just wish i could get the finish technique down to make all nice and glossy. its not bad im happy with the way it turned out.

    ^ the before

    ^ the after

I put a JT580LP on it cus it was already back routed. It had an OFR on it when i got it but i pulled the OFR off to put on the crackle body im workin on.
The JT580LP seems brighter then the OFR. But it works fine and sounds good just differant than it did.

    ^ both evh's together.

Very nice indeed, the pink is really out there! (In the best way possible)

The one of the left (bottom picture) is very interesting, is it a mashup of 2 or 3 different EVH color schemes?

Szostak the guitar on the left in the bottom pick was my first attempt at an EVH Frankenstrat. I was gonna try to do it the way his is but it was too frustrating since i had the colors backwards and it wasnt working out right. So i just decided to do my own thing with it and still represent the original in some respects. So ther colors and some of the striping is similar to the original. The rest was kind of on the fly inspriration. lol
It's a Kramer maple/maple neck with a Gibson 2002 PAF in the bridge and a real floyd. It currnetly my go to guitar and has killer tone. Very early VH type of tone and clearity.

from where did you learned how to paint and how to remove your original color?
and is it feel like a normal painting ? (like before you did the paing job)

Just thought I'd mention...that is a JT580LP. The JT590 was a non-LP Floyd made by Schaller, and it has very little in common with the JT580LP.

I didnt strip off the original paint. I just taped it off in a random patern till it looked right and cool. the coolness factor is very important. lol
The i just sprayed it black. I let the paint dry and pulled the tape off. and Wallah. The finish isnt as good as i would like it. Im still gonna try to get the black parts smoother and polished looking. But i seem to have trouble with this aspect of the process. Oh well i love it. Its cool. And it didnt change the tone any. Altho the the bridge did.

I don't know how to write it in English
                            but i think it "Pulish"
how can you spray on guitar without striping the pulish out of there?
when i say pulish i mean - the material on the top of the guitar... it's making it shining.

well how can you spray on the original pulish?
