  • Help with Model ID

    Hi everybody, first post here.
I could use some help to ID my guitar. I believe it is a japanese import. It has the following features:

    - 24 fret neck with pointed tiltback headstock, spliced on around the 1st fret. rosewood board

    - recessed Floyd licensed by Jackson Charvel, locking nut, black hardware.

    - EMG 81 angled at the bridge, EMG single coil at neck (H1 maybe ?) , 3 way switch one volume control.

-black finish, toothpaste logo, wrench holder on back of headstock

there is no made in sticker on the guitar that I know of. The serial# is 371418

Any help you guys can give I'd appreciate. see photos here:

Looks like a 275 with the twin single coil bridge pup replaced with a hum.

          Thanks VitaminG and RR_YJMFAN!
Interesting that the electronics were replaced- I bought it used years ago and it was not mentioned at the time. The humbucker install is very clean, I don't recall the routes being single coil shaped under the ring. Do you know what years they were produced and what country?

toothpaste logoed Charvels were made in Japan between 89-91

I'm not sure if your guitar was made for the full period, but the link I posted was from the 90-91 catalogue
