  • Bright Orange Spectrum

Hi guys, im new around this parts...

I just got a Spectrum a couple days ago, cause i just loved the shape, the pickguard, everything... I was wondering if i could find here some info on it, it doesnt have the toothpaste logo, but the small charvel one...

Store your photos and videos online with secure storage from Photobucket. Available on iOS, Android and desktop. Securely backup your memories and sign up today!

Ill take some more pics later inside, i didnt think the sun would make it look so damn bright

Would anyone happen to have a wiring diagram to rewire it all clean without messing up the wah thing, and a diagram of the trem (its the older one, with the "horizontal" fine tuners) so i can take it apart and clean it...

    Thanx for any help

I believe what you have is the extremely rare Model 8. These were made right at the end of the Model Series in '88, before the toothpaste models and the Spectrum. That's a great one to have. Congrats on the score!

Here's the manual for the JT-6 trem. I don't think it has a schematic, though.

It's pretty straightforward to take apart & put back together. Just keep your small parts organized & you should be fine.

Here's another thread with Model 8 pics.

It's very interesting, because his had a Schaller trem & pull-up route. I think they were in transition & different ones could have different features. Pretty sure another difference between the Model 8 & the Spectrum was that the Spectrum had the scalloped neck joint area on the back of the body that came in with the toothpaste models, but I might be wrong on that. Anyone know for sure?

I see guitars here all the time that aren't my cup of tea. When I do, I either don't make a comment or offer congrats & wish them good luck with it. Maybe you should try that.

yeah that is wild, I've NEVER seen one like that with the Model guitar logo on it. all I've ever seen of these are the toothpaste logo.

                      cool specimen!
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Awesome, thanx... would a wiring diagram be too much to ask?

That one with the Schaller, its got a white logo... mine's black... In any case, she really needs a whole clean up and set up, and the trem arm holder is borked (ill see about replacing it with a schaller one if i can...) Then in time ill throw some new pups in her, too...

Im kinda busy at the moment with other guitars i need to get rid of, moving houses too... lol, so when all the insanity ends, ill make it up to this one

I really like the wah thing tho, perfect for a wah-stepped-half-the-way sound

Thanx for the replies and the welcomes guys
