  • Got my Model 2 back today

I sent this out 1/8/07 for neck scalloping, I used the 'smooth groves' service on ebay. They did a good job, the scallopes are a bit on the shallow side but they do the job. Real ripper now!

I think it was around $95, well worth it.

that's very reasonable indeed. do the scallops feel shallow or is it very noticeable?

The scallops are down to the tops of the side marker, deep enough to get a good grab on the strings and not touch the wood while bending. They aren't as deep as my YJM but they do the job for sure, I am more than satisfied.

Is there a way to find this smooth grooves place on Ebay I looked up the find a member and typed in smooth grooves and none seemed related to woodworking.

Just showing some J-90C love. I am a die hard Dimarzio guy, still am. The scalloping brightened the guitar a bit due to the wood removal and the Breed I had in there was too thin now. I was going to put in a Pafpro to smooth it out in the high end but just for the hell of it I tossed in a J-90C I had since 93' that I had in a silverburst soloist. The catalog calls it the hottest but I find it to be between medium (pafpro) and very hot (dimebucker/x2n), great mids, tight bottom and smooth highs. Great pick up, can't wait to try it through my main rig! J-90C kicks ass!
