Speed is the key. Was informed by a script agent of a new search result ("Jackson") up for sale on www.dba.dk. I logged in and saw a black Charvel 475 Deluxe marked as a "Jackson". Location: 180 km away, but close to where my brother lives. Price with hard case: $142! Early J/C imports are rarely up for sale here in Denmark and when they are, a 475 would be around $500! Phoned my brother: -Yes, I'll get it for you. Phoned the seller and he said: -Wow dude, I only just put up the add 12 minutes ago. Yeah, my Jackson is in good condition, your brother can collect. Phoned my brother again: -Go!
Later, my brother calls me up: -LOL, the dude was contacted by buyers a million times after your initial call, and now he knows he could have priced it higher.. but he was honest and sold me the guitar for the advertised price. GOOD SELLER!
The guitar is pretty nice, I've never expected the neck to be so thin and wide (that's okay) and the active electronics are amazingly versatile! Why this story? I dunno, just happy I guess!
And here is one for Ron:
