Hi folks. I'm from Australia and fell over this site. I have what I believe is a 1989 Japaneese Model 1A3S in gloss black with black-white-black scratch plate and maple neck.
It has a guitar shaped Charvelle on the head and on Ft Worth plate with gasket (bolt on neck), Jackson on the 3 J100 single coils (bridge angled) with exposed rods, 5 way selector, 1 vol, 2 tone pots with pull up 2nd pot, vintage trem, black dot markers on fretboard and black dots on side, non-locking nut, Jackson on machine heads.

I bought the it new with genuine Charvel case and the only mod has been to replace the bridge pickup with an SD Hot Rail back in the mid 90's. It's had a good life with plenty of work and has never failed. Needs a bit of attention to the electrics but that's to be expected after all these years of service.
I also have an MG-74 Washburn with gold hardware. BOSS ME-5 multi-pedals (bought with the Charvel) and a VASE (VOX circuitry with Marshall tubes) all valve amp. Original Vase Celestion green 2x 12" cab and a Sovtek (Eminence) 4x 12" cab.
